RETURN POLICY

NO CONFUSION, NO HASSLE, NO WORRIES.

To ensure that every product we ship out is new, every return we receive back must also be in new condition. For faster processing and 100% refund on items returned, make sure your return adheres to the following guidelines:

  • All items must be returned within 30 days of their original delivery date.
  • All returned products must be in new condition with no signs of use, in the original packaging, and all tags/stickers/labels still attached.
  • A 15% processing fee will apply to all returns that are in un-sellable condition, or do not include the original packaging (boxes, labels, tags, etc.).
  • Products being returned must be shipped freight pre-paid; no COD’s. (If the return is due to our error or product defect, we will provide you with a prepaid shipping label.)
  • Shipments refused by the customer are subject to a 15% processing fee. Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
  • If your order originally qualified for and was shipped free, shipping charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Refunds must be issued to the original payment method used.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you aren’t, send the new item back. Return any new, unused, and intact item within 30 days of receiving it, and we’ll make sure you get a 100% refund (less origin shipping costs) on items that are returned.

We do not accept returns on:

  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, used, or is missing parts.
  • Special order, closeout, or discontinued products.
  • Software and Cartography
  • Items that may have local pre-arranged service or warranty options like trolling motors
  • Liferafts

Return Requests

Before returning any product, contact OceanWired Customer Service as a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and return shipping instructions are required to process a return. This can be done by clicking here. You can also request a return by sending an Email to [email protected]

Please include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, along with the reason code for the return. Return codes are available below.

  1. Damaged Product
  2. Item received was incorrect or damaged
  3. Ordered Wrong Item
  4. Warranty Replacement
  5. Other (please include the reason in email)

Return Terms

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify application eligibility prior to starting the install. OceanWired is not responsible for parts installed incorrectly due to suggested applicability. It is the duty of the purchaser / installer to verify eligibility prior to install.

  • Merchandise that cannot be returned:
    • Any product that has been used, tested or installed.
    • Any product that has a shelf life – Batteries, Oil, Paint, Life Vest/Raft, Hazardous Material.
    • Software and products in the Cartography Category.
    • Products specified as ‘Final Sale’, or ‘Closeout’
    • Special order products.
  • Eligible merchandise as outlined below may be returned for credit or refund within 30 days from date of shipment only if all of the following conditions are met. Otherwise a 15% restocking fee may apply. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. If shipping was prepaid on the original order, prepaid freight will be deducted:
    • Products must be returned in new, resalable and uninstalled condition.
    • Original manufacturer’s box with no marking or labels on box should be packed in a separate shipping box.
    • Complete with instructions and all components provided by the manufacturer.
  • Credit for returned merchandise outside of 25 days are based upon an evaluation if the RMA may be approved and is subject to:
    • A minimum 15% restocking fee.
    • Any manufacturer’s additional test or recertification fees.
    • House account credit only.
  • Merchandise experiencing technical issues or are assumed defective, and falls over 30-day return window:
    • Apply to manufacturer’s warranty policy.
    • Must be sent to manufacturer for evaluation for repair or replacement as per the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
    • If you need information about the manufacturer’s warranty policy or contact information, please contact our customer service team.
  • Damaged or shorted merchandise:
    • Each parcel carries insurance against loss or damage. 
    • Open and examine all packages promptly. Notify OceanWired Customer Service Department within 14 days of any discrepancies in the order. If the merchandise is received in damaged condition or the carrier fails to deliver the entire shipment as shown on the Bill of Lading covering motor freight delivery, make note of the damage or shortage on the Bill of Lading and ask the driver to sign it.
  • Products marked as “Remanufactured” can only be returned if they are defective, and can only be exchanged for the same product.

Please ship your return with the RMA number clearly on the shipping box, not the product box, prepaid and insured to the address located in your RMA return instructions.

Refund Policy:

Credit card or Paypal refunds, once approved, will be issued to the same credit card or Paypal account used on the original order. Please allow 10 business days after credit has been approved for your return and refund to be processed. Do not return any products C.O.D. as it cannot be accepted by the warehouse.

International Returns:

All International returns must be received in our warehouse within 30 Days. It is the International customer’s responsibility to insure that they ship products back expediently.

International shipping costs are non-refundable and returns are subject to the same domestic returns terms stated above.

Any out-of-box failures or warranty claims will need to be handled directly through the manufacturer.

We are not responsible for covering any customs fees. If a product is returned because of unpaid customs fees we will deduct shipping costs both ways, and a 15-20% restocking fee will apply.
